Man, how has this simple idea of a blog grown.
So edifying ,so many testimonials from our brothers and sisters, and another stepping stone of faith in our Lord, and another pillar of strength for our souls in this world.
Hm, since the transition to Reachlight i've not been attending Speedlight often anymore, like, since the first cell reachlight, i've only attended speedlight once. Not because of any normal circumstances, i'll admit, but, more of a calling.
I dunno, was having split minds of whether to satisfy a spiritual hunger by going to speedlight and checking things out [ Felt a lil odd not going there for some time. ], meanwhile, another part wants to fill the growling stomach [ while walking to church stomach was alr growling o.o ]
Finally electing to go for speedlight with Tim [ he proposed speedlight, thank God ], saw that the sermon was by Pastor Pacer, so, ah crap, kinda forgot what it was about.. but i know, theres a show of this 9-year old kid preaching in Indonesia.
YES ! YES ! 9-year old !! While he was preaching in that age i was still playing around with what, plastic swords, watching bro play his PS, no computer to play at that time [I admit i overloaded the hard drive while trying to install a game, and it sorta went kaputt inside the comp... my bad =X], and whatsoever, but lets not look to my life, we can handle that in forum or APC, but at this little kid.
Preaching to the masses in a town, where Islamic Jihad extremists are carrying out attacks against the Christians living in there, this one boy and his sister[i think] of the same age became beacons of light in these dark times.
Led by a pastor of a local church, they preached to the masses about the love of Christ and having peace between the two major religions. Many miracles have happened, a Muslim being converted after being a witness that the 'blind can see, and the lame can walk'.
Although i cannot recall the whole sermon, it is the video of this young boy that impacted me most of all. It is said that, only during times of War and Strife, that seperates the boys, from the men. How is it that we are left in this place, with little opportunities to reach out to people in other countries?
We all know that at this stage of life, we cannot make such decisions by ourselves. However, what i can call this phase, is where we improve ourselves, and step-up for opportunities to try and help others whenever we can. Although its tough during certain circumstances, especially like, an opportunity during an exam period ? Thats hard, and i'm sure all understands.
Well, i've faced a few difficulties in life, like when sec4 and 5 is like stepping into living Hell every weekday, treading on thin ice, not knowing when my resolve would just break and fall away, and in danger of any breakdown ? Sure, many people experiences that, and some survives, some falls, some pull away with scars, but battle-hardened and ready to face against anything that has happened in the past.
[Class in NASS late-game is a total opposite from Cell Group. A ticking time bomb strapped to your back, to a safe haven held with pillars of support.]
This kid, he grew up in a battle zone, somewhere like Israel, where you dont know when a car bomb is gonna blow up in your face, or when Iran gets a lil 'high' and throws a nuke at them. He pulls away from the chaos to bring a message from the Lord, and though his efforts, the area in Indonesia has settled down since, i would assume some random shootings at best given the climate there, but lets all pray that there would be a period of calm and peace for them.
About this heading "Answer the Call", well, i felt a tug inside of me, went, and learnt and received whole package of stuff, FOC, and left satisfied, Very Satisfied. How did this start ? A little encouragement, and a sense of mystery surrounding me heart.
Although this is a personal statement, i would like to ask everyone reading this, be it RBC912 members, fellow church people, fellow Singaporeans or the person stumbling here in search of spiritual support, ask yourself this question, ja ?
Have you answered the Call ?
