After today's(Sun, Jul13) SpeedLight message, I was inspired to capture and develop the concepts being put across.
A fundamental concept that bugs many Christians is 'Hypocrisy'- We praise the Lord on Sunday.. but ironically for the rest of the week we might lash out hurt and destruction with our tongue and hands. No one can be perfect: pure, sinless as Jesus- However, we should make a distinct effort to steer clear from sin, to avoid sinning habitually; an extent whereby conviction and guilt doesn't exist anymore.
'The World' presently is exponentially going downhill, and we witness this downfall with our very eyes via the media, though 'News' that opens our visions and scopes to the size of the World. Everyday struggles has been about Oil, Stock Markets, Environment, Politics, Conflict and a endless myriad of other issues with or without inheritance1. The end times are coming...
We live in a World whereby preachers of all forms dictate their doctrines to us, every single day. 'Christianity' and 'The World' may be 2 different entities- However, we Christians cannot deny 'The World'. We have to be peculiar in the process of co-existing: not indulging in worldly pursuits; maintaining our Christian personalities.
God has placed us on this Earth for a purpose, he has given us a life, a talent and a destiny. We have the Word, which has been with us since we were little children2. We must never give up the Word of God, nor the Gospel. Being a Christian isn't about all the blessings that God can shower upon 'Us'- we pray for guidance in our lives, we call out His name in times of need. But over time have we shifted the focus to 'Us', away from 'Him'?
If we ask ourselves: 'What is my purpose?'. It can be very worrisome to find an answer in our state of uncertainty. 'After the university degree, the peak position in that field of work, our spouse, the house and car, the money.. then what?'. Let us place our trust in the Lord, that all things will fall into place, that we will know of the perfect plan He has for us. We have ongoing things in life that we cannot escape from, be it from school or work.. But we must never lose the faith that God is walking with us, Jesus is in our hearts and the Holy Spirit guides us along.
The end times are coming, let us prepare ourselves for the coming of Jesus Christ, while not forgetting our unsaved loved ones and friends. 'The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen.'
